We love this comedic duo. Here's why.

Comedy has paired up the funniest names in Hollywood to bring us the funniest movies in this business they call show. Abbott and Costello, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, Laurel and Hardy, Key And Peele, French and Saunders, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey โ€“ our funny bone would be untickled without them.

Get Hard pairs up two kings of comedy, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell, to give us another unforgettable comedic duo, as well as an unlikely bromance. However, this is neither actorโ€™s first display of bro love, having teamed up with other great actors for a bit of bromance before, and thatโ€™s just one reason why we love these guys so much. Take a look below:

Why We (heart) Kevin Hart

1. His bromance with Dwayne Johnson.

Hart is currently appearing on the big-screen alongside action legend Dwayne Johnson, in Central Intelligence โ€“ and together they create movie magic. They also co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards this year, where they opened the ceremony with an eye-popping homage to Mad Max: Fury Road.

2. His stand-up comedy.

Hart started his career as a comedian in his hometown of Philadelphia, later moving to Massachusetts and eventually Hollywood, where he continues to make us laugh on stage and screen.

3. Touring South Africa.

Itโ€™s been a big year for Hart, which saw him touring internationally with his stand-up comedy show What Now. His worldwide stops included Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.

4. His ineptitude with a gun.

If youโ€™ve watched Ride Along or Central Intelligence, youโ€™ll know that Hartโ€™s characters are not the types who know how to handle guns. These hysterical scenes may prove his charactersโ€™ ineptitude with guns, but they prove Hartโ€™s aptitude for physical comedy.

ย 5. Proving that dynamite comes in small packages.

At 1.63m, Hart is a โ€œgrown little manโ€, as the title of his first comedy album attests. He has embraced his short stature with so much confidence, heโ€™s become one of the biggest stars in comedy!

Why Weโ€™ve Got the Feels for Ferrell

1. His bromance with Mark Wahlberg.

Ferrell is famous for his work with fellow frat packers like Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, but perhaps his best-known co-star collaboration is with John C. Reilly. As great as their teamwork is, we really loved the moment Ferrell paired up with someone slightly more unexpected: Mark Wahlberg. The latter is better known for dramatic roles, but is successfully foraying into comedy, and Ferrell proved his perfect foil, in The Other Guys โ€“ so perfect they reunited last year, in Daddyโ€™s Home.

2. Playing against type.

When you see Ferrellโ€™s name on a movie poster, you expect one thing: comedy. It may be slapstick, it may be silly, but itโ€™ll be funny, and Ferrell will be the one providing many of the laughs. So imagine everyoneโ€™s surprise when he played a love-struck IRS agent in the magical dramedy, Stranger Than Fiction. The film was well received, as was Ferrellโ€™s endearing, and entirely different, performance, leading to the actorโ€™s second Golden Globe nomination.

3. His crazy cameos.

Even when heโ€™s not front and centre of the comedy movie posters, he still steals the show with roaringly funny cameos โ€“ like his brief but hysterical appearances in Wedding Crashers, Starsky & Hutch, and the first two Austin Powersโ€™ movies.

4. Playing George W. Bush on Saturday Night Live.

Like Hart, Ferrell started in stand up, eventually appearing on SNL. A lover of impersonations, he had viewers rolling in the aisles when he impersonated the 43rd POTUS, George W. Bush.

5. Jacobim Mugatu.

Whatโ€™s not to love about Zoolander? Everything from the blue steel move and the David Bowie cameo to the โ€œreally, really ridiculousโ€ lines and the hysterically OTT villain, Jacobim Mugatu, made us want to watch it over and over. The man behind that OTT villain? Ferrell, of course.

Watch Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell pair up inย Get Hard, your Sunday night movie on 12 June at 20:30 on M-Net and 21:00 on M-Net Movies Premiere.
