Up until last week The Voice SA Season 3 coaches Riky Rick, Riana Nel, LIRA and Francois van Coke could save some of the phenomenal singers in their teams from leaving the competition during the show’s exhilarating live events at the Mosaiek Teatro in Fairlands, Johannesburg. But the rules have changed. The talent are not competing in their teams anymore and the results are now completely up to the voting public. The Top 8 talent gave their all on stage to garner votes last week and on Sunday 16 June we will find out who ended up at the bottom rung of the voting ladder. Luckily, only one singer will make a final bow this week.  Who will it be and which coach will sadly have to say goodbye to the performer whose skills they have honed over many months?

The eight talent who are waiting to hear their fate are the flamboyant Anslin Gysman (23) from Philippi in the Cape, “African queen” Siki Jo-An (25) from Port Elizabeth; rocker Tasché Burger (18) from Brackenfell; Afrikaans songwriter Soné Joubert (27) from Gordon’s Bay; colourful chameleon Yahto Kraft (18) from Alberton; PE’s Bitcoin entrepreneur Eon Claude le Roux (27); the The PJ Twins (26) from Bonteheuwel; and the sweet Amy Tjasink (26) from Cape Town.

Once the results are out on what happens to be Father’s Day and Youth Day, the remaining seven will entertain fans with a new set of popular songs to stay in the running of becoming the next Voice of South Africa. Viewers can also look forward to a performance by LIRA, the Mzansi Youth Choir and a grade 4 student from Southdowns College, Joshua Bouwer.

The radio station that will take over The Voice SA’s Red Room Takeover is GROOTfm, with the charming Hendri Myburgh from Die Groot Ontbyt (also on kykNET) as the DJ to interview the talent and guest performers.
