Erin and Rochelle were, of course, OG Islanders, but both failed to find love in the villa.
In Rochelle’s case, it was because she was the villa’s queen of the friend-zone!
After initially coupling up with Ian, she recoupled with Durang (and friend-zoned him!), rebuffed Jay, Chris and Ian again during their one-on-one date.

In the second recoupling, she coupled up with Kaige after Summer was ‘stolen’ by Chris.
Having not kissed with tongue in her entire time in the villa, Rochelle went all out in the best kisser game – and finished second!

But when bombshells Thiala and Tania arrive, she was all out of options, having effectively friend-zoned herself out of the game. In her parting words, she expressed regret about not making a play for Jay.
Erin had a bumpier ride. She first coupled-up with Asad, and they actually became an item – just a short-lived one. Upon Xavier’s arrival, she was ‘frothing’, and when he took her on a date, she loved his banter.

This was clear to Asad, and he also felt that Erin was giving him an ultimatum for affection and making him out to be a ‘dickh**d’. Their Love Island SA honeymoon was done.

In the first recoupling, Asad was taken by Sarah, and Erin was the last girl standing and was in a default couple with Ian.

And her drama with Asad wasn’t over – she insinuated to Sarah that he’d said he wanted her back!

She was dumped along with Rochelle when Ian unexpectedly recoupled with Summer.

When we caught up with her after her dumping, she admitted to still having feelings for Asad.
Finally, Sarah’s time in the villa wasn’t too elongated, but it was certainly eventful! One of her first moves was to size the boys up during the hole package game – a task she took way too much pleasure in!
In the first recoupling, after Asad and Erin had imploded, she took him off her hands, but said, ‘I don’t see it going anywhere besides a friendship.’ How wrong (deluded?) she was!
Pretty soon, there was some furious action underneath their duvet, and it was all so X-rated we have absolutely nothing to show you! And it was, unfortunately, the start of the boys’ puerile pizza analogies…
However, it was this intimacy that ultimately turned Asad off – it was all action and no connection, and he just wasn’t feeling it.

When Kaige opted out, we were left with an uneven number of contestants, and your popularity poll had Summer and Sarah at the bottom (along with an already-dumped Jay).

The irony of it happening on the same day as the Asad dumping wasn’t lost on us.
After the break-up, Sarah told us that she probably wouldn’t have been comfortable in the villa if she’d stayed anyway.
