Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels return to the roles of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne in your #SundayNightMovie on 18 October at 20:05 on M-Net and 20:30 on M-Net Movies Premiere.

When the sequel was released in 2014, twenty years had passed since the original marked the directorial debut of the Farrelly brothers. Their success was followed with more comedies in the form of There’s Something About Mary; Me, Myself & Irene, and Shallow Hal.

Jim Carrey’s career soared after 1994. He continued in the rubber-faced comedic vein that made him famous, churning out hits such as Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, The Mask and Liar Liar. Despite carving a niche in Hollywood with comedy, Carrey proved he could do drama as well, wowing fans and critics alike with memorable performances in Man on the Moon, The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Jeff Daniels spent the years between 1994 and 2014 leaping between comedic misses and dramatic hits. Notable appearances included work in films such as Pleasantville, The Hours, The Squid and the Whale, Good Night and Good Luck, and Looper; as well as a starring role in the series, The Newsroom.

After an exciting, and at time tumultuous, twenty years in their respective careers the two actors joined forces to revisit their characters with the Farrelly brothers. In the sequel Lloyd is living in an insane asylum, only to be pulled out by his old buddy, Dunne, who has discovered he has a daughter.
