The Blind Auditions for The Voice SA are wrapping up this week, which means coaches Karen Zoid, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Lira and Kahn Morbee, are under massive pressure to fill up their teams of fourteen each. Bobby only has one spot available, while Karen and Kahn can still accommodate two singers each, and Lira three. Thus, only eight more talented individuals will be granted the opportunity to partake in the upcoming Battle Rounds and possibly become the first winner of The Voice South Africa.
"There is no doubt that every talent that has stepped onto The Voice SA stage has been an incredible performer,” says M-Net’s Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard. “The conundrum is that the coaches now have to take other factors into consideration, like what type of singer they still need for their team, not picking someone similar to what they already have, and not allowing their fellow coaches to grab talent that will outshine theirs. It’s really tricky! So, expect more tears and cheers in this tension-filled episode."
In this last sprint to the Blind Audition finishing line, there are a couple of delightful surprises awaiting the coaches and viewers alike. Coach Karen will need a good hug after turning her chair for one particular talent that touched her heart, while a teacher with a unique voice completely messes with the coaches’ minds.
