Auditions for The Voice SA are about to wrap up this coming weekend in Johannesburg on Saturday, 31 October and Sunday, 1 November at Marks Park. This means that it will be the last chance for aspiring singers to take a shot at being coached by some of the best recording artists in South Africa โ namely Karen Zoid, Kahn Morbee, Lira or Bobby van Jaarsveld โ in an attempt to win a recording contract, and to build a successful musicย career for themselves.
Auditions kicked off in Cape Town two weeks ago, where eager singers queued on the pavement from as early as 03:00AMย in order to secure a place for themselves at the front of the queue. Next stop was Durban this past weekend, where wannabe musical superstars also turned up early, singing songs en masse in the queues to warm up their vocals and give it their best shot.
Doors open in Johannesburg at 09:00AMย on Saturday, 31 October as well as on Sunday, 01 November. Singers are encouraged to come early, and to be prepared for the elements โ rain or shine. Wear sunscreen, bring an umbrella, as well as some water to stay hydrated. Any South African citizens over the age of 18 on the day of the audition are allowed to enter and there is no cut-off age for entrantsย either!
