During the first challenge after merge, no merge feast was served and our castaways had to shoot at targets with slingshots and marbles. Once these targets were hit, they were allowed to head to the merge feast buffet table and pick an item. Each item was covered.

Dino won the Save the Date advantage during the challenge – ironically, seeing he and his fiancée sent out their save the dates just before he headed to Survivor SA.

This advantage allowed him to go to The Outpost on day 32, where he would receive a reward. In episode 19, the day finally arrived, and Dino was sent.

In addition to the extra vote, Dino won a river safari stay courtesy of the Zambezi Queen Collection by Mantis worth R80 000. This prize was quite ideal for Dino as he would like to take his newly wedded wife on honeymoon with it.

The Save the Date advantage was the only one in the game that is transferrable to someone else should Dino get voted out before playing it.
