Social media was abuzz this week after the dramatic live announcement of the Idols SA Season 11 Top 10 on M-Net and Mzansi Magic Sunday evening.

Social media was abuzz this week after the dramatic live announcement of the Idols SA Season 11 Top 10 on M-Net and Mzansi Magic Sunday evening.
 
With over 3 million votes cast for the Top 16 group the fans were emotionally invested, and overall the viewers seem satisfied with the Top 10 group, and eager to cast their votes again this week.
 
And what a show they have to look forward to, as the Top 10 start competing in earnest on Sunday [20 September]. They will perform songs chosen specifically for them by the Idols SA judging panel of Randall Abrahams, Gareth Cliff, Unathi Msengana, and Somizi Mahlangu to showcase each of their unique talents, and judges will explain their choices before each performance on Sunday.  
 
Kicking off the show at the State Theatre in Pretoria on Sunday will be 22-year-old Elwira Standili from Worcester, and Number 1 will also be her unique voting number, which she will keep throughout the competition.
 
Karabo Mogane (24) from Nelspruit’s voting number is 2.
 
Amanda Antony (22) from Port Elizabeth is Number 3.
 
KZN’s hope this year, Siphelele Ngcobo (24) from Inanda, will have the voting number 4 for the rest of the competition.
 
Dineo Moseki (21) from Vryburg is number 5.
 
Followed by Rhema Varrie (21) from Alberton, number 6.
 
Lungisa Xhamela (24) from Langa’s voting number for the competition is 7.
 
And 20-year-old Nadia Herbst from Paarl is Number 8.
 
Followed by the youngster of the competition, 16-year-old Loyiso Gijana from Uitenhage, whose number is 9.
 
And Mmatema Moremi (23) from Limpopo’s voting number for the competition is 10.
 
Fans can vote via USSD by dialing *120*33033# (Calls are charged at R1,50 per minute, limited to 200 votes per cellphone number); by SMSing their favourite contestant’s voting number to 37400 (SMS's are charged at R1.50/SMS, limited to 100 votes per cellphone number); or for free via WeChat (100 times per cellphone number); or for free on the official mobile site or Idols SA website or at www.mnet.co.za/idolsSA, 100 times per cellphone number for each valid voting period.

Voting for the Top 10 will open at the start of the live broadcast on M-Net, channel 101 on DStv, and Mzansi Magic, channel 161 on DStv, this Sunday [20 September] at 17:00.
 
The result of the vote will be announced at the start of the Top 9 Spectacular next Sunday, 27 September.
