The premiere of The Bachelorette SA came with many memorable moments! But a moment that was a highlight amongst highlights was definitely Qiniso reuniting with her primary school pal Peter.
This red carpet moment is hardly the only glitzy reunion out there. Hollywood has also seen its fair share of reunions amongst former schoolmates and current stars.
Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse
In Riverdale, they attend high school together as Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones. IRL, these co-stars attended New York University at the same time. Although Mendes remembers seeing Cole and his brother Dylan around campus, Cole has admitted he doesn’t remember Mendes. Given that Cole and Dylan were child stars, it’s not surprising they were noticed.
Josh Hartnett and Rachael Leigh Cook
They were both huge ‘90s stars and they both attended Minneapolis South High School. Hartnett and Cook may not have been in the same grade, but they did eventually become co-stars, in 2001’s Blow Dry.
Snoop Dogg and Cameron Diaz
These celebrities were a year apart at Polytechnic High School in California, but still remember seeing each other. Diaz even thinks she may have bought weed from the future rapper at some point.
High School Sweethearts
Speaking of Snoop Dogg, he’s one of several celebrities who married his high school sweetheart. He filed for divorce from wife Shante Broadus in 2004 after almost seven years of marriage. Snoop Dogg soon realised the error of his ways and the couple reunited, renewing their vows in 2008. They are still together today.
Another musician whose love has held true since high school is Jon Bon Jovi. He’s been married to his high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley since 1989. Bono is also still married to his high school sweetheart, as is Ja Rule – seems like these musicians know a little something about love. Perhaps Peter should be keeping his eye on Bradley, Swazi, or Dylan with their respective tendencies to rap, drum, and create playlists. Or maybe some of the other men will reveal hidden musical talents and serenade their way into Qiniso’s heart.
