If you have been a die-hard fan of Zambia’s very first telenovela, Zuba, you would have noticed a new face in the Sosala family in season 3.

Zambian rapper, Sam Sakala ‘AKA’ Dope G, replaced Luam Elkana as Thando Sosala on Zuba following what was rumoured to have been a payment dispute.

Apart from being on of the founders of the Hip Hop collective, Zone Fam, Sakala is no stranger to the limelight as his acting career took off on an online drama series titled Love Games, which meant to sensitize the public on HIV/AIDS. In 2018 he was a part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for young African leaders, spending time in the United States of America to focus on the same subject.

When he later featured on Zambezi Magic’s One Love, it became inevitable that he would grow into roles, such as the one he currently occupies as the Sosala family's golden boy. Some have also asked if he has a twin brother as it appears on the show, and the answer is no.

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for his journey on Zuba.
