After hundreds of action fans auditioned and entered for the chance to be the movie trailer voice for M-Net Movies’ Action Heroes Festival, it came down to seven hopefuls. These individuals were: Gerno Eksteen, Mogy Mash, Greg Shai, Fredrick Mabitsela, Kamogelo Dipuko, Monari Matema and Peace Ndzirawa.
The magnificent seven made their way to the Yfm studios for a final showdown. With television and radio presenter Claire Mawisa, and actor and director Akin Omotoso on hand to help out as judges, it all went down during DJ Thulisa’s afternoon drive show.
As The Highlander told us, “there can be only one” and that ONE was Peace Nzirawa. In addition to becoming the voice of the M-Net Movies Action Heroes Festival, Peace won R10 000, a DSTV Explora and three months’ DSTV compact subscription.
M-Net Movies’ brand manager Natasja Madinda was completely blown away at the positive response to the competition, and the boundless talent encountered: “We would like to thank each and every person who auditioned. This is proof that Africa has amazing talent. We are so obsessed with finding new talent that we decided to bank the auditions of our Top 7 finalists and a few gems we found and would like to use them for other campaigns we have planned on M-Net Movies.”
Action fans will already have heard the winning movie trailer voice of Peace Nzirawa on M-Net Movies Action. Deep, booming and resonant, once you hear it, you’ll never forget it.
