Here's our best pick of jungle movies.

This Sunday, you're about to go on a crazy jungle adventure with your action comedy Freelance. Let's take a look at other memorable jungle movies.

The Jumanji franchise
The beloved classic Jumanjiย will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it first brought the dangers of the jungle (and Robin Williams!) into Judy and Peter's home. It was followed by a sequel in 2002,ย Zathura: A Space Adventure; and then, in 2017, it continued withย Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. In this sequel,ย we saw a video game, instead of the original board game, taking its characters into a real jungle. It was an amazing adventure that included a group of new characters morphing into video game avatars and fighting off villains and various jungle animals, all while trying not to lose their lives. Another sequel followed in 2019, titled Jumanji: The Next Level.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
No one does better jungle movies than George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. With the first movie, Raiders of the Ark, fans were whisked away on an adventure filled with temples, Nazis, and a mysterious medallion, all led by Indiana Jones portrayed by Harrison Ford who gave us a character that would live for decades. But it was inย Temple of Doom that weย got to see Indy take on the jungle. Everything from the blood-thirsty snakes and the villainous tribes to the action hooked us. And who could ever forget that iconic scene with eyeball soup and monkey brains? Watch it again here:

Jurassic Park
Another one for the books. What do you get when you mix the jungle with meat-eating dinosaurs? Havoc! Steven Speilberg's Jurassic Parkย gave viewers all the thrills, chills, and action in one of the most realistic jungle settings to date. This was due to the use of a combination of special effects, animatronics, and a cool jungle setting on the Hawaiian Islands of Kauai, Maui, and Oahu.ย

Anacondaย
Snakes, snakes, everywhere! There is nothing scarier than being stuck in a jungle with a huge snake out for blood. Anaconda was many people's worst nightmare. With such a shock factor, it's no secret why the movie makes our list of iconic jungle movies.

The Jungle Book
Disney's The Jungle Book is an animated classic that many of us grew up watching. In 1994, Disney remade their film into a live-action version, bringing back the beloved characters. They remade it again in 2016, cleverly capturing the jungle setting through the use of CGI and motion capture. Two years later the king of motion capture performance Andy Serkis brought his own Kipling vision to life withย Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.
