<p style="text-align: justify;">Baby Groot almost didn&rsquo;t make it into the movie. The sequel was initially meant to take place several years after the first movie, with a grown-up Groot.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Groot&rsquo;s only words are &ldquo;I am Groot&rdquo;, but Vin Diesel received a script with all the phrases &ldquo;translated&rdquo; into English, so that he would know what his character was actually saying.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Matthew McConaughey, Gary Oldman, Viggo Mortensen, Christoph Waltz, Christopher Plummer, Max von Sydow, and Liam Neeson were all considered for the role of Ego, Peter Quill&rsquo;s father. The role eventually went to Kurt Russell.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Peter Quill&rsquo;s mixed tape&nbsp;includes songs from Fleetwood Mac, Sam Cooke, and George Harrison.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Look out for several Easter eggs in the movie, as well as a few starry cameos.</p>
