Team Kahnโs Fatman and Team Karenโs Samantha Leonard are safe to sing for South Africaโs vote again after their coaches saved them afterthis Sundayโsย [21 May] incredible sing-off between the 8 members of the two teams. Now itโs up to the fans to vote for their favourites to stay in the show using these unique voting numbers:

Sundayย saw the first of the Live Showstopper shows, broadcast live from the state-of-the-art Mosaรฏek Teatro in Fairland, Johannesburg, in which the remaining singers competedย for the viewersโ votes to become โThe Voiceโ, and what a showstopper it was!

#TeamKahn was up first with Capetonian Economics graduate-turned singer Craig Lucas (23), showing off his giant pop vocals with the Killers anthem, โHumanโ. A happy Coach Kahn rose to his feet in applause during Craigโs performance, which he said was โAwesome!โย
ย
Alternative, raspy-voiced Freddy Lalendle (23) from Durban strayed from his usual rocker roots to perform the emotional Labrinth ballad, โJealousโ. Coach Lira said Freddy is an enigma, but Bobby warned him about a tendency to mumble his lyrics.ย

Soulful Information Systems graduate Zee Gqamana (23) from Grahamstown chose Allesia Caraโs poignant โScars to Your Beautifulโ to impress the viewers. โYou are aย superstar!โ coachย Karen Zoid raved. โIโm so proud of you โ you brought it, girlfriend!โ Lira agreed. โConfidence is a beautiful thing,โ she joked. โYou are the complete package,โ Kahn told his singer happily.ย

And the final singer to represent #TeamKahn was larger-than-life comedian Fatman (40) from Bela Bela, who wowed the coaches and the Mosaรฏek audience with his soulful rendition of the Kurt Darren mega-hit, โKapteinโ. Coach Karen said thereโs something about Fatmanโs voice that makes you feel safe, and Kahn said this performance reminded him of that famous โOh Captain, My Captainโ scene in the movie โDead Poets Societyโ.ย

#TeamKarenโs turn on the stage was lead by the stylish Lindo Sithole (23) from Pietermaritzburg, performing Bruno Marsโ โ24K Magicโ. โI love your swag!โ Lira told Lindo, and his Coach Karen agreed. โYou are unbelievable!โ she raved. โAnd you are the most stylish person on this yearโs โVoiceโ.โ

Worship leader PJ Pretorius (26) from Secunda mixed things up with a dose of Shania Twainโs โYouโre Still The Oneโ. โYouโve got something magical about you,โ coach Bobby told PJ, and Karen thought it was โa fantastic performanceโ.

Amanda Faku (23) from Port Elizabeth had the crowd on their feet with Kings of Leonโs rocking singalong hit, โUse Somebodyโ. โYou are incredible,โ aย proud coach Karenย told her.ย

And last but not least, Samantha Leonard (24) from Kimberly showcased her impressive vocal range with the Enrique Iglesias hit, โHeroโ. โYou took my breath away,โ said a tearful Coach Lira. โIt reminded me of performances that I have seen at the Grammys.โ And Bobby said he canโt wait to see Sam perform Afrikaans music.ย
With Fatman and Samantha safe from the vote, it is now up to the fans to decide which singers from both teams to save with their votes. Only two members of each team can remain โ two singersย mustย be sent home in next weekโs Showstopper episode.ย
