Filming location, accents, and alligators? Here are fast facts about Fast Charlie.

The legendary Pierce Brosnan plays the smooth-talking, butt-kicking hitman Charlie Swift in your Sunday night movie, Fast Charlie. And with Charlie out for revenge, you're in for incredible action! We're talking alligator-lurking, gun-wrenching, car-crashing action, and Brosnan's character knows how to use a gun! Let's look at some facts about the movie.

The movie is based on the 2001 novel Gun Monkeys written by Victor Gischler.

In preparation for the movie, actor Pierce Brosnan, writer Richard Wenk, and director Phillip Noyce sat down together and went through the book to discuss the material for the movie.

Brosnan cleverly pulled off a southern accent for the role of Charlie. Quite impressive, seeing as he is Irish.

The movie was filmed in Louisiana, New Orleans – including scenes alongside the Mississippi River – the perfect spot thanks to its swampy backroads and real alligators. Cool, right?

Actor James Caan sadly passed away, shortly after filming the movie, at age 82. He played the mob boss in the movie, a role he will be remembered for.

Über cool fact: In the movie, there is a scene in a club with numbered lockers. In this scene, Charlie stands in front of locker No 7. Pierce Brosnan played James Bond for a number of years and we all know Bond's famous agent number is 007. This is a great nod to his character.
