Award season is in full swing. We went across the pond to London for the 70th British Academy Film Awards, commonly referred to as the BAFTAs. The award ceremony was hosted by the legendary Stephen Fry and despite favourites like La La Land not bagging all the awards it was nominated for, it was a royal affair! We love our movies and it was only right that M-Net Movies screened the awards for our movie-obsessed fans!
The night's big stars were How To Get Away With Murder's Viola Davis for her role in the highly-acclaimed Fences. La La Land bagged its fair share of awards, with Emma Stone taking the 'Leading Actress' nod. A star in his own right, Casey Affleck took the 'Leading Actor' award for his role in Manchester by the Sea.
