For Africa month, we promised cinema lovers a curated movie experience that ranged from the critically acclaimed to hidden gems, and we stayed true to our word. In exactly ten days, we celebrated stories and creatives from across our beautiful and diverse continent.

Let’s take a stroll down the streets of Twitter to find out from you, just how you felt about the films showcased on the AfroCinema pop-up channel.

Wandie and Khanyi enjoyed the pop-up channel and have requested that it be made a permanent member of the DStv family.Β  Not a bad idea, who else is in favour of this notion? πŸ˜‰

From war, police brutality, corruption, and even love and lust, Β it seems every film lover was catered for. HlugaTheGuy mentioned that he loves war movies and Sixteen Rounds met his expectations. Lithameyile enjoyed watching Fatsani. Even though it’s a sad film, she loves the fact that it’s based on a true story.
