For Africa month, we promised cinema lovers a curated movie experience that ranged from the critically acclaimed to hidden gems, and we stayed true to our word. In exactly ten days, we celebrated stories and creatives from across our beautiful and diverse continent.
Letβs take a stroll down the streets of Twitter to find out from you, just how you felt about the films showcased on the AfroCinema pop-up channel.
Wandie and Khanyi enjoyed the pop-up channel and have requested that it be made a permanent member of the DStv family.Β Not a bad idea, who else is in favour of this notion? π
#AfroCinema should be made permanent. I was enjoying it π₯Ί

From war, police brutality, corruption, and even love and lust, Β it seems every film lover was catered for. HlugaTheGuy mentioned that he loves war movies and Sixteen Rounds met his expectations. Lithameyile enjoyed watching Fatsani. Even though itβs a sad film, she loves the fact that itβs based on a true story.
Sixteen Rounds has to be my favourite. I love movies based on the army/war and Sixteen rounds met my expectations. Really entertaining ππΎ. #AfroCinema

I really enjoyed βFatsaniβ, although itβs a sad film about survival. The fact that itβs based on a true story makes it that much more meaningful.#AfroCinema
