Adele’s obsession with Saturn 🪐

The relationship between the musical star and the planet.

Keen eyes  👀 would have picked up on Adele’s Saturn tattoo on her right arm, and those gorgeous statement earrings, also depicting the planet during her Adele: One Night Only appearance.

So what’s it all about? We did some digging. And yes, it is indeed related to astrology.

Linda Joyce, a professional astrologer and author of The Star Within speaks to magazine Women’s Health about it. She explains that the planet’s return – when it makes a full rotation to return to the same position in the sky when you’re born – takes roughly 29 years to circle anyone’s chart and can last for about two to three years. "Returns mark the closing of one cycle and the beginning of another," she tells Women’s Health.

"Saturn is the truth – the bare truth – but it’s something you can count on. It won’t lie to you to make you feel better, but it will guide and help you learn your lesson if you’re willing to do the work."

Right. Okay. Now that that’s sorted, where does Adele come in?

Speaking to magazine Vogue, Adele admits to hitting her Saturn return. “It’s where I lost the plot,” she tells Vogue. “When that comes, it can rock your life. It shakes you up a bit: Who am I? What do I want to do? What makes me truly happy? All those things.

By no means does she attribute her divorce to that astrological event but says it is one of the things to have emerged from it. “I was just going through the motions and I wasn’t happy,” Adele says. “Neither of us did anything wrong. Neither of us hurt each other or anything like that. It was just: I want my son to see me really love, and be loved. It’s really important to me.”

And there you go; Saturn has a special place in Adele’s heart for the change it brought into her life.
