Boma Ilamina-Eremie’s rise
King Halita 2

If you’re curious about the dreadlocked hunk behind the character of King on Halita, we’ve got a treat for you! Boma, who plays the role of Kaza's first son from a previous marriage is not only an actor but also a writer and director.
His first shot at fame was in 2005 when he played a mechanic on a BBC World project titled ‘Wetin Dey’. After a couple of radio gigs, he then had a two-year run writing for the famous ‘The Johnsons’ series created for DStv.

During an interview with Nigeria’s Daily Trust Saturday publication, he had this to say on clinching the role of King:

“It’s a funny and long story. Call it fate if you must. I took a break from television for over five years at a time where there weren’t many opportunities in Abuja. Then I saw an advert for a new TV series on Instagram. At the time, I was occupied with a writing job and was not keen on getting in the grind. That was until I started getting bombarded by calls and messages from friends and family and colleagues who insisted I show up for the audition.  So, I showed up, waited for about twelve hours for my turn before I got a spot to audition. I actually auditioned for a different role but those in charge asked me to wait a bit and I auditioned for the part of King. The rest is history.”

He says after this role, he will be auditioning for more roles above that if his face isn’t on TV, fans can count on seeing his creations.
