The six Troll tribes represent the musical genres Techno, Funk, Classical, Country, Rock, and Pop. Each tribe has a magical string that gives power to their kind of music. Queen Barb of the Rock tribe summons all the tribes to a reunion but intends to steal the strings to merge all the troll tribes under rock music.
