When rumors of the existence of an angel named Michael reach an exploitative newspaper, washed-up journalist Frank Quinlan smells a page-one scoop. Whether the story is true or not, it's Quinlan's job to track down the alleged angel and bring him back to Chicago in time for Christmas.
