- Holland attended the same school as Adele, Jessie J and Amy Winehouse. That’s right, The Brit School in London has churned out some big names and Tom Holland is just the latest. The school has made a name for itself with a focus on dance, music and theatre and is one of only three performing arts schools in the UK that is free to attend.
- Tom loves to dance and is a talented gymnast. It was this love that landed him the role of Billy Elliot in the London West End musical. Holland dedicated a large portion of his time as a kid to hip-hop and ballet lessons, eventually landing him the lead role.
- Holland has broken his nose on set on three different occasions. Once during the filming of The Lost City of Z when a backflip went wrong and he landed on his face, once on the set of Chaos Walking thanks to an overzealous stuntman and once during filming of Avengers: Endgame when lack of peripheral vision due to his suit meant he took a hit to the face.
- Not only is Tom Holland the youngest actor to play Spider-Man in a live-action film, he’s also surpassed previous Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire in terms of the number of movies he’s appeared in as Spider-Man.
- Whilst there is no doubt Holland has acting chops, he also aspires to be a director. He has said that part of being a good actor is to get an in-depth understanding of the industry and directing would help him achieve this. In fact, he already has his directorial debut under his belt thanks to his short film Tweet, which stars his younger twin brothers as well as his parents.
