Landman gave us perfect Texan drama in season 1. Everything from the cast to the storyline to the dialogue was amazing. Expectations for the second season are set very high as fans gear up to see the Norris family again.
What we know so far:
Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) is now the president of M-Tex Oil after the shocking and untimely death of his friend and boss Monty Miller. Tommy has always had a fierce spirit when it comes to the oil industry, and he knows the ins and outs like no one else. His dream was to be an oil tycoon himself, and now he has the chance to pursue it ... no holds barred. But where there's promotion ... there's trouble ... Monty's widow Cami (Demi Moore) is stepping up and filling in her late husband's shoes as the main owner of M-Tex Oil. Tommy and Cami are bound to butt heads as they navigate the cutthroat world of the oil business and have conflicting approaches. In the first season, Cami played the supportive wife and was often in the background cheering on Monty, but now she takes on a bigger role and emerges as the true boss lady that she is: showing her peers and the town that a woman can run the show! See her like never before, as she stands her ground, takes the bull by the horns, and gives everyone a piece of her mind.
Tommy's family dynamics will be further explored as new family members and acquaintances come to town. The incredible Sam Elliott joins the cast as Tommy's strict father Pop, who is said to be the original landman. Perhaps Pops will come with sage advice; but with his son in charge, will his arrival put a strain on how Tommy runs things? Only time will tell ... Meanwhile, Tommy and Angela's relationship faces new tests as new truths emerge. We must admit that we simply love seeing these two together and Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter do such an incredible job with these characters. Then there's Cooper and Ariana. Will they make it in the long run? Let's not forget Daddy's little princess, Ainsley, who's bound to get into some sort of trouble. With so much at stake, we're dying to dive in to season 2 of Taylor Sheridan's visual masterpiece.
