Lady Gaga is the epitome of fashion, style, and extravagance. Over the years she has caused heads to turn with her outstanding and sometimes outrageous fashion choices. Love it or hate it, she commands attention whatever she does. Let's take a look at how she was transformed into Patrizia Reggiani, for the film House of Gucci.

Makeup artist Sarah Tanno and hair stylist Frederic Aspiras were the creative geniuses behind Gaga's convincing facial transformation. They did hours of research studying Reggiani's style, and the way she talked and moved. They transported Gaga decades back with the clever use of makeup, hairstyles, hair colour, and the use of wigs. Rumour has it the wigs cost over $10 000. We guess big hair requires a big budget!

Since the story takes place over several decades, the team meticulously ensured that every look matched the relevant decade of Reggiani's life. For example, in the '70s they used retro waves which were popular in that era. For the '80s it was big hair and smudged eyeliner for that smokey look. For the 90s, which portrayed the hardest part of Reggiani's life, they had to make Gaga match the part. They had to make her look a bit messy, tired, and stressed. The most famous look in the movie is Patrizia Reggiani's wedding day, where they used the doubled wing eye for a mysterious flair, inspired by Sophia Loren's in the 1970s.

The choice of clothing was equally important to portray how Reggiani dressed. The socialite was known for her bold fashion choices, being the wife of Maurizio Gucci. Every piece was carefully picked, styled, and curated by designer Janty Yates, bringing to life over three decades of fashion.
