Sunday nights just got festive

News01 December 2025
Naughty and nice!
Two men with. confused look, a man dressed as a devil, a man with a shocked look on his face

This holiday we’ve got festive mischief, festive laughs, and festive action. Here’s what you’ll find inside your M-Net 101 Christmas stocking.

Bad Tidings

This hilarious British comedy starring Chris McCausland and Lee Mack takes neighbourly rivalry to a whole new level. Grumpy home security expert Neil (Mack) and his neighbour Scott (McCausland) are feuding over the holidays. They come up with hilariously elaborate schemes to outdo each other’s Christmas decor. But when a bunch of burglars wreak havoc in their neighbourhood, they’re forced to put aside their differences and team up to stop them. With a dash of Christmas with the Kranks and a sprinkle of Home Alone, this movie will get you into the festive spirit. Watch Bad Tidings on Sunday 7 December at 20:05.

Die Kwiksilwers

This one’s for the girls, the aunties, the mothers, the daughters. Director Jordy Sank brings us this hilarious Afrikaans film starring Lida Botha, Jacques Bessenger, June van Merch, Susanne Beyers, and Theresa Sedras. Four elderly friends embark on a road trip across the Karoo in a vintage Ford Granada to witness a meteor shower. The journey is filled with chaos, unexpected turns, laughs, and tugs at the heartstrings. A perfect local delight to start the holiday cheer. We’re heading to the Karoo on Sunday 14 December at 20:05.

Dear Santa

Comedy king Jack Black stars as Satan in this Christmas comedy for both the young and old. When eleven-year-old dyslexic Liam mistakenly sends a letter to Satan instead of Santa, all hell breaks loose! Satan (Black) shows up on the boy’s doorstep and grants him three wishes. But everyone knows that with wishes come consequences ... and Satan’s got some quirky rules of his own. Make a date with Dear Santa on Sunday 21 December at 20:05.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Die-hard Mission Impossible fans, brace yourselves as Tom Cruise returns one last time as the iconic Ethan Hunt. This time Hunt and his team take on a dangerous AI called Entity, that’s taken over global intelligence. They must race against time to stop Entity and those behind it. We’re ready for that parachute-gliding, running-faster-than-a-train, skyscraper-jumping Tom Cruise that we love. Bonus: Several scenes were shot and set in South Africa. Your final mission, if you choose to accept it, begins on Sunday 28 December at 20:05.
