“Daar is so baie nuwe dinge wat in dié seisoen gebeur.

Meet the Maak my famous top 48!

If you think the first season of kykNET’s multi-talented competition Maak my famous was of top class, then you’re not ready for the entertainment and drama season two brings!

Emo Adams and his co-presenter Tarryn Lamb will be back on your TV screens to introduce you to some of the most talented people you’ve ever come across.

With more than 8 000 entries this year, Emo and the show’s mentors had a tough time identifying a top 48.

“We brought so many new and exciting elements to the second season. We introduced a new category for the groups and rappers and they are insanely good! And off course the Emo ticket is back. Do I use all of them? You have to wait and see!” said Emo.

Allistair Isobell, Nur Abrahams and Charlton Daniels will return back as mentors – and this year we introduce actor and singer Rushney Ferguson to the team. Rushney will run the choreography of the show and is known for her roles in David Kramer theatre productions as well as kykNET’s latest procedural drama Projek Dina.

And this time around we don’t just go south, east, west and north, but we have three acts from Namibia!

From the youngest contestant from Uitsig busting her moves, to the oldest contestant from Paarl using his beautiful opera voice to entertain you.

“This competition is about chances and second chances. I offer you the platform to showcase your talent, but what you do with those 90 seconds is up to you. And the best way to make sure you are the best is to rehearse, rehearse and rehearse until it’s second nature,” said Emo.

The talent ranges from dancers and rappers to opera singers. We even have a family affair going on! There will be a few brothers and sisters competing for the title.

Maak my Famous starts on April 29, 2020 at 20:00 on kykNET, DStv channel 144.
