Clive Mhuri is an orphan from a rural area called Zvishavane, in Zimbabwe.
He grew up in a poor family and his relatives could not afford school fees. He, therefore, used to do part-time work at the school to raise school fees.
Clive did very well in Mathematics and his teacher offered to assist him with school fees until he completed his Ordinary Levels.
Clive could not find at job after completing his teacher training course and resorted to cross-border trading between South Africa and Zimbabwe, selling anything he could lay his hands on.
One day, someone requested for a decoder. He wasn’t sure what this was, and little did he know that sale was going to change his live forever.
With time the demand for decoders grew and taught himself how to install through watching his friends. At the time Clive lived in a very small house in the high density area of Chitungwiza and he was suffering from a back injury as a result of an accident that he was involved in. Medical costs were a challenge because he was not earning much to sustain himself and his family.
Clive was introduced to MultiChoice by a friend, and it was then that he received training as a MultiChoice installer. Because of the passion he had for his business and his need to earn enough money to pay for his medical bills, his business grew very quickly, mostly through referrals because of his tremendous customer care and getting a proper job done.
Clive has become Zimbabwe’s most outstanding agents and despite the current economic climate, had remained steadfast and committed to achieving greater heights.
To date he has opened an amazing five branches, and now also sells top of the range home appliances.
