M-Net is leading the pack yet again by introducing a fresh consumer-centred international trend to African television – a time-shifted channel that will allow viewers the opportunity to not miss out on any of their favourite programming. From Wednesday 1 June, DStv Premium customers can enjoy M-Net Plus 1, which will be an exact replica of M-Net 101 with an hour time delay.

The new time-shifted channel will be available on channel 901 on DStv Premium. To accommodate this new channel, the DStv Audio Channel numbers will now start at 750 onwards while the Radio Channels from channel number 800 onwards.

“As M-Net 101 currently caters for a diverse audience with different lifestyles and viewing time preferences, we believe that the addition of M-Net Plus 1 will be welcomed by many of our viewers,” says Jan du Plessis, Director: M-Net Channels.

“While our prime-time scheduling is at convenient times for the majority of our series lovers, there are also many people – especially parents with young families - who can only start watching television a little later. With M-Net Plus 1, viewers who don’t have PVRs can now continue to enjoy linear television and stay on top of M-Net 101’s excellent series.”

A programme like Carte Blanche, for example, will be screened on M-Net 101 as per usual at 19:00 CAT on Sundays, while it will be on M-Net Plus 1 on Sundays at 20:00.
