Our franchise in Zimbabwe:
Starting as an independently owned business in the late 1980s, MultiChoice Zimbabwe became a franchise in 1995 and is regarded among the pioneers of pay television subscription management in Africa. Its vision to bring the various DStv bouquets to as wide a audience has lead the company to open offices in a number of cities across Zimbabwe.
A well-established installer base of over 40 businesses has been developed and these provide national cover for the services offered. Annual accreditation and ongoing training for these installers ensure high standards of service to customers. MultiChoice Zimbabwe also undertakes promotional activities and events for customers on a regular basis, helping promote face-to-face contact and stimulating interest in DStv. The company is a member of a key local marketing alliance involving 14 of the best-known names in Zimbabwe’s business sector.
Corporate Social Responsibility
In Zimbabwe MultiChoice has established MultiChoice Resource Centres in twenty schools. The MRCs have been rolled out in partnership with the Ministry/Department of Education.
The MRCs play an important role in providing access to information to schools, in particular rural schools, thereby helping to bridge the digital divide between schools with access to information and those without.
