Yes, all our subscriptions allow for streaming on your phone.

Yes, we allow you to link up to 2 mobile streams to your subscription. Pricing for the additional mobile streams is based on your package. 

This allows 3 people to stream on your subscription at the same time, 2 of which can only be on mobile devices. 

Note, all users need to be logged in with the same details.

It depends on how many viewers (mobile streams*) you have linked to your subscription.

• If you have not added any mobile streams, you can stream on 1 device at a time – with no restrictions on which device you use.
• If you have added 1 mobile stream, 2 people can stream at the same time (1 stream must be on a mobile device)
• If you have added 2 mobile streams, 3 people can stream at the same time (2 streams must be on mobile devices)

Note, all users need to be logged in with the same details.

This is the number of active streams in use on your subscription at the same time.

If you pay for 3 streams, 3 people can watch different content on different devices at the SAME time.

The maximum number of streams linked to your subscription are already active

• You need to close one of the streams, before you can start/open another one
• You can add (link) another stream to your subscription to increase the number of people able to stream at the same time (you’re allowed to link up to 2 mobile streams)

You have exceeded the number of devices linked to your account

This is different to the number of streams you pay for.
If your subscription allows for streaming on 1 device at a time, you can stream from multiple devices, switching from one to another. Example : you stream on your laptop at home, and on your phone or tablet when travelling. In this example, although you are only ever streaming on 1 device at the same time, you are making use of 3 devices.

There is a limit of 4 devices per subscription. You can check which devices have been used on your subscription (and remove them) using the DStv Stream app. From the main screen, select More, Settings, Manage Devices.

You have just switched devices 

If you have NOT reached the limit of streams your subscription allows for, and you have just switched from streaming on one device to streaming on another, it make take a few minutes for the system to refresh and disconnect the device you’re no longer using. 

Please wait 5 minutes between removing a device and starting to stream on a new device.

We allow you to link mobile streams* to your subscription, so more people can stream at the same time.

To link a stream to your subscription using WhatsApp - save our number in your contacts (060 060 3788), type in Stream and follow the steps.

Use self service on WhatsApp - save our number in your contacts (060 060 3788), type in Stream and follow the steps. The mobile stream will be active within 5 minutes of being added to your subscription.

Note :

• If you have multiple subscriptions, select the subscription you want to add the mobile streams to.
• You can only add mobile streams to active subscriptions.
• You can add up to a maximum of 2 mobile streams per subscription.

The mobile stream will be scheduled for disconnection on your next payment date (removal is not immediate)

No, we have streaming only subscriptions which allow you to stream anywhere.
