Song, dance, food and many special tributes were the order of the day as Zee TV Africa celebrated the 67th year of democracy for India.
The India Republic Day was celebrated at the High Commission of India, Johannesburg. The High Commissioner Ruchi Ghanashyam unfurled the Indian national flag and read the President’s speech to the assembled guests including Indian nationals, People of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and representatives from the South African Foreign Office.
It was a colourful and breath-taking event which Zee TV Africa was proud to have been a part of. Being the leading Hindi entertainment channel on the continent of Africa, and also bringing Indian content to Africa in English and French, Zee TV Africa strives to promote the deep rooted culture and heritage to all communities.
History shows a prolonged relationship between India and Africa hence they felt privileged to pay tribute to the significant day.
