What we want to happen this season on Game of Thrones.
With the new season of Game of Thrones just around the corner, people are losing their minds with excitement! Season 5 is sure to be filled with action, blood, lust and legendary battles for the Iron Throne.
If that’s not exciting enough for you, Game of Thrones will be simulcast, yes SIMULCAST, on M-Net Edge! Meaning when it hits screens in the US, you can wake up super early at 03:00 on the morning of Monday 13 April and watch it at the same time!
With all the buzz around GoT, we thought we’d have a little brainstorming session and see what we want to go down in the new season.
Sansa to get more attitude
Ok so Sansa is a babe in her own right and at the moment, she’s with "Littlefinger" Baelish. We don’t trust him as far as we can spit but he does have one thing right: he knows how to play the game, and the sweet and delicate Sansa could learn a thing or two. We want her to take a page out of her little sister’s book and whip some butt! She has been pushed around for far too long.
Jon Snow to love again
I really enjoyed Ygritte being all coy and cutsie with Jon but "you know nothing Jon Snow". She was his first love and the man needs another chance! Now I’m not suggesting he find a woman ASAP, I just feel like the good guy should win once in a while. You go Jon Snow.
Arya to become one of the Faceless
In the Season 4 season finale, she took the coin that Faceless Jaqen H’ghar gave her, recited the words he taught her and set off for Braavos. For such a small body – she holds so much dynamite! I know I’m not alone in saying that Arya is my favourite character in GoT. A recently released image of Arya from Entertainment Weekly spiked our suspicions and I think it’s safe to say she will undergo a hectic makeover – more towards the feminine side.
Jaqen H’ghar to return
This guy was just too cool for school, I hope he makes a return to the screen and teaches Arya the ways of the Faceless. That thing he did with his face before he disappeared – I mean, wow, talk about Faceless magic.
Cersei to get barbequed by Daenerys’ dragons
C’mon, I know I’m not the only one that thinks Cersei is evil topped with evil in evil stew. The woman has to be stopped! And who better to take down such a strong woman than a stronger woman, Daenerys? But why get your hands dirty when you have dragons?
And if anything as hectic as this goes down, there;s no need to be afraid of spoilers hitting your social media from the US, because you can watch it at the same time!
Tyrion in general
The Imp’s sarcasm and zest for life rock my word. He is so full of life – but I’m not sure if that zest will still be around after last season’s ending. I just want to see him rise again with genuinely decent people surrounding him. I hate that Shae betrayed him and how his family treats him.
Other than those few hopes for the new season, I’m just so thrilled to see the battle for the Iron Throne commence, and we get to see it first with the new simulcast times! I’m in Daenerys’ corner because she seems to be most genuinely concerned for the welfare of her people. Oh – and she has dragons.
