Queen Sugar S3 (New Season) on 1Magic (DStv 103) and streaming live on DStv Now on Monday, 16 July 2018
When we last saw the Bordelon clan, it seemed that everything they had worked for was beyond repair. The future of the Queen Sugar mill hangs in the balance and Charley’s plan to revive it is not a sure bet. Heartbreakingly, the betrayal between Ralph Angel and Darla means that nothing will ever be the same between them. The complete ramifications of Darla’s secret about Blue’s paternity have yet to be seen. Despite all of this, the Bordelons are back.
The upcoming third season of OWN Network’s Queen Sugar will focus on the journey of fatherhood, the series’ new showrunner Kat Candler said at PaleyFest in Los Angeles. “I’m excited about just watching the complexities of that relationship unfold,” she said. “The revelation of baby Blue’s true paternity, and particularly Siriboe’s performance, apparently moved Winfrey so much she contacted him to tell him so."

From the team behind global hit Victoria, this original new drama follows Inspector Borlú of the Extreme Crime Squad as he investigates the murder of a foreign student whose body is found on the streets of Besźel. It seems to be just another run of the mill case for the Inspector – until he discovers evidence that the dead girl had been visiting Besźel’s prosperous twin city, Ul Qoma.
This shouldn’t be possible as citizens of each city are forbidden from seeing or interacting with each other and the borders are policed by the all-powerful and terrifying Breach. In an attempt to solve the case, Borlu comes to realise he has a personal connection to the crimes and must embark on an odyssey of the mind to find the truth he has always been seeking.
