SPORTS THIS WEEK

Rugby Championships: Saturday  27 August at 9:25 on SuperSport 2 (Ch 201) and streaming live on DStv Now

Manchester United host Tottenham in the next Monday night Football game, an early top four clash at old Trafford as both look to overhaul Man City from the pinnacle of the Premier League title stakes.

All the top teams will be looking to gather as much points as possible to keep up with City but these big match-ups will define their season.

The big challenge for both United and Tottenham is having so many Players who played on till the end of the World cup and as such needing to go through pre-season without most of their top stars.

Both also weren’t too active in the transfer market but perhaps that should be a bonus as they don’t have too many Players to try and fit in.

Tottenham in fact didn’t t sign any Players in the transfer window and they will hope Harry Kane overcomes his now regular August curse where he never scores in August.

United will again look to World champion Paul Pogba for inspiration as well as Romelu Lukaku who also had a great World Cup with Belgium.

Expect fireworks at Old Trafford.
