The characters from Disney Junior's Vampirina.

Get to know the voices behind the brand new series!

Disney Junior has a brand new series we predict everyone is going to love: Vampirina! Based on the best-selling books Vampirina Ballerina by Anne Marie Pace it follows a young vampire girl who moves towns and becomes the new kid on the block after her parents decide to open a Scare bed and breakfast for visiting ghosts and ghouls.

With Vampirina starting on Saturday 28 October at 09:00 on Disney Junior (DStv Channel 309) it’s time to give you a quick look at who’s behind the delightfully spooky series.

Isabella Crovetti

Crovetti may be in her early teens, but she’s already creating waves in the industry. She brings Vampirina’s voice to life, but she’s not new to the voice acting world – you can see her voice Shine in Shimmer and Shine. She’s no stranger to showbiz – and neither are her brothers who are in the Emmy-nominated hit series Big Little Lies.

Lauren Graham

Former Gilmore Girls star, Lauren Graham brings Vampirina’s mother Oxana – the co-owner of the Scare Bed and Breakfast – to life. Injected with musical moments, we’re not surprised to see Graham be a part of the series cast – she starred in the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls back in 2009. Also, she’s kind of perfect for the mother role from her credits in Gilmore Girls and Parenthood.

James Van Der Beek

Voicing Vampirina’s totally lovable dad Boris, James Van Der Beek is ideal! You may remember him as Dawson from the hit series Dawson’s Creek. Who doesn’t love a dose of his charm on the small or big screen? We can’t wait to see him belt out a song or two alongside his animated vampire family.

Wanda Sykes

Yes, funny lady Wanda Sykes takes up the role of Georgina, Vamperina’s loyal gargoyle sidekick. We’re expecting to laugh every minute Georgina is on the screen, after all Sykes is known for being hilarious – we all loved her in The New Adventures of Old Christine and recently Black-ish.

Get geared up for a vamp-tastic time with Vampirina from Saturday 28 October at 09:00 on Disney Junior (DStv Channel 309).
