Now it’s even easier to find your favourite shows on VIA.
From 1 August, VIA boasts with a brand new programming schedule that will give you more variety and much less uncertainty.
Our work, school and home schedules become frantic and it’s usually a juggling game to remember everything and to fit it all into the too few hours in a day.
So, we decided to simplify our schedule to adapt to yours more easily. The new programming schedule is easy. Each time slot features a certain genre so you know exactly which type of show you’ll see at which time.
VIA’s previous strategy was to air premiere shows between 16:00 and 19:00 every day, followed by a repeat block. Now we are extending our peak viewing time to six hours, from 17:00 to 23:00. During this time there will be no repeats.
“It’s very simple: We adjusted our programming schedule to better suit the habits of our loyal viewers. And with more shows, we can create more interesting patterns for our viewers,” explains Izelle Venter, channel head for VIA.
Here is all you need to know about VIA’s new schedule:
- 17:30 is everything style, so enjoy shows like Ruil my styl and Maak my nuut.
- 18:00 the food hour starts with treats like Inspirasiekos met SARIE, Kom ons braai and Skoonma-se-tong.
- 20:00 is for relationships and weddings so tune in for My droom-trourok and Wie is my strooimeisie?
- 20:30 an hour of reality entertainment starts with shows like Ure, Halfuur met Hanlie and Diere-dokters.
Now that you have one thing less to remember, you can take a break and sit back to enjoy your favourite shows on VIA. Unlike your kids’ lunch boxes, our shows will still be exactly where you left them yesterday.
