Before the big hunt begins we look at the biggest real-life manhunts in history.

D.B Cooper

In 1971 D.B Cooper commandeered a plane and escaped by parachuting out of the aircraft, taking with him a hefty sum of money. Thereafter a huge manhunt got underway. The outlaw has never been captured.

Choi Gap-bok

Yoga has more to offer than just health benefits, this was the case for Choi Gap-bok who did yoga for 23 years. He managed a prison break that left many in utter disbelief.

After requesting a “special ointment” from the guards it only took the Korean Houdini (as dubbed by the media) an impressive 34 seconds to taste freedom. Choi Gap-bok slipped through the food slot of the bars of his cell, while the guards were in la-la land. The manhunt was successful as the slippery customer was caught six days later.

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

After setting off two bombs which left 3 dead and an estimated 264 injured at the 2013 Boston Marathon, brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev led law enforcement on a much-documented manhunt which resulted in the capture of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, while his brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev died in a shootout with the police.

Osama Bin Laden

The man who was responsible for the World Trade Center attacks in 2011, Osama Bin Laden played a game of cat and mouse with law enforcement for several years before he was killed by Navy Seal Team 6.

Bonnie and Clyde

Boy meets girl, boy and girl go on a rampage that shocked the USA. This was the case for Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The couple took 13 lives and conducted a handful of robberies. The deadly couple was eventually ambushed and killed in 1934 following a two-year long manhunt.
