Find out in this week Sunday’s live showstopper.

From this week onwards, The Voice SA coaches have no more say in the outcome of the singing competition. The fate of the remaining talent now lies completely in the in the hands of the voting public, but so far we only know who six of the Top 8 contenders are. Who will fill the final two spots?

It all depends on which of the remaining talent in the teams of coaches Lira and Bobby van Jaarsveld raked in the most viewer votes this week. After Lira had chosen powerhouse performer Tender Mavundla, 35, for the Top 8 in last week’s episode, viewers had to vote for effervescent Bubbles Mnomiya, 23, rocker Luke Lovemore, 23, or Stilfontein’s Marissa Petzer, 24. In #Team Bobby the race was on between engineer Marco Basson, 23, lawyer Caroline Brussow, 32, and matriculant John-James Janse van Rensburg, 19, once Bobby had given charismatic singer Josh Ansley, 31, exemption from the vote.

Tender and Josh joined previously saved talent Craig Lucas, 23, and Fatman, 40, from #TeamKahn as well as Samantha Leonard, 24, and PJ Pretorius, 26, from Karen Zoid’s team.

This Sunday 4 June, The Voice SA  host Lungile Radu will reveal to the nation who else made it to the Top 8. The third live show of the season will also feature some spectacular new vocal performances from all of the talent as well as some special guest artists! Friend of The Voice SA and Season 2 co-coach Elvis Blue will take to the stage for a special solo, but he’s not the only famous singer-songwriter gracing the Moasiek Teatro; Durban-born Majozi will be performing too! Some famous songs that fans can expect the talent to cover this week include a mix of chart-topping classics by the likes of Whitney Houston, Meatloaf, Panic! At The Disco, Temper Trap and Sarah Bareilles to name a few…

Voting for the Top 8 talent will open at the end of the show and will close on Tuesday 23 May at 22:00. Tickets for The Voice SA live shows are available from Computicket.

The Voice South Africa, sponsored by Dialdirect, is broadcast every Sunday night on M-Net channel 101 at 17:30 and every Monday night at 18:00 on M-Net City channel 115.
