Demi Lovato singing.

It's time to decide what would be your ultimate selection of songs if you had to be a part of Lip Sync Battle Shorties.

Anyone else noticing how super cool JoJo Siwa is? From a special on Nickelodeon to now co-hosting Lip Sync Battle Shorties (on Friday 22 December at 17:30 on Nickelodeon and streaming on DStv Now) with Nick Cannon, the former Dance Moms star is totally killing it at the moment.

It got me thinking, what would I want to have as my song of choice if I had to hit the Lip Sync Battle stage? Here are some artists and songs I’d totally want to choose from.

Ariana Grande

There’s no denying it, Ari can reach some serious high notes – thankfully I’ll be pretending to sing of course. Girl has some good go-to songs to have a blast with including Into You, The Way, Everyday, Break Free, One last Time and holiday favourite Santa Tell Me. Time to get the signature ponytail ready!

Demi Lovato

If I’m going to imagine belting out to an entire crowd as Demi, can I get a full face of makeup done by her incredibly talented makeup artist Jill Powell? Demi is always looking like a 10 and I want some of Jill’s magic too! The songs I’d want to sing would be Confident, Give Your Heart a Break, Neon Lights, Tell Me You Love Me, and my personal favourite Sorry Not Sorry.

Twice

Can I sing along to some Korean pop music perhaps? I mean, the K-Pop scene is my vibe: colourful, upbeat and totally happy inducing! There are so many great artists and groups to choose from but I think I’d choose some songs from Twice’s discography. I’m thinking Cheer Up, TT, Knock Knock, Happy Shaker or the adorable Likey – with the accompanying dance moves! Oh, and in case you didn’t know Nickelodeon’s Make It Pop is inspired by the South Korean music scene – check the series out on Showmax.

What would you choose to sing? Catch a fun holiday special of Lip Sync Battle Shorties on Friday 22 December at 17:30 on Nickelodeon and streaming on DStv Now. Take a look at our kids shows and movies playlist for even more fun!
