If you’re a rom com type of person or just enjoy a little romance once in a while we have you covered.
DStv has great romantic movies to light up your love life this season.
Tis' the season to be jolly after all.
Here are some really good romantic movies you must watch this festive:
This is hands down favourite. A young boy from the poorer side of the tracks falls in love with a girl from a wealthy family in Seabrook in the 1940’s. Her family disapproves of the relationship and so it goes,. They fight for their love and you know love wins. The main actors are Ryan Gosling as Noah and Rachel McAdams as Allie. Watch The Notebook on DStv Now.
Bringing it back to more modern day things. Why Him? Is a hilarious rom com starring James Franco and Zoey Deutch. James plays Laird, a billionaire who is in a relationship with Zoey’s character Stephanie Fleming. Stephanie’s family comes over to meet him during the holidays and things fall apart. It’ll keep you lolling with unexpected twists too.
Watch Why Him? on Saturday 2 December at 22:00 on M-Net Movies Premiere. Also available on DStv Now.
Me Before You
Emilia Clarke puts on such a good show as Louisa ‘Lou’ when she cares and falls in love Will played by Sam Claflin. Lou is Will’s caregiver and tries to make him want to live again after he’s involved in a car accident that leaves him paralyzed. The adventures they go on together are touching and inspiring. They change each others lives forever. Watch Me Before You on DStv Now.
Tell Me Sweet Something
In this local rom-com Maps Maponyane and Nomzamo play Nat and Moratiwa who find themselves in love even though they are complete opposites. Watch Tell Me Sweet Something on DStv Now.
“Every night in my dreams, I see you I feel you..” This movie has jerked many a tear and lately there has been an ongoing debate about if Jack could’ve shared the same door as Rose to float on when the ship sank. We will always remember Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio as they gave us the love story which made us cry but nonetheless ‘our hearts will go on’. Watch Titanic on DStv Now.
Richard Gere plays Edward Lewis a rich business man who hires Vivian Ward played by Julia Roberts to be his escort to various events and they eventually fall in love. Watch Pretty on DStv Now.
