A women’s role is not always easy - especially like Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union) who is trying to advance her career in TV while balancing her complicated love life AND her demanding family while fast approaching 40. Also catch her as the host of KFC Taste Kitchen, Fridays at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic. She will host the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (DStvMVCA) as well which will be screened live on Mzansi Magic on Saturday 26 August 2017. 
 
All hail The Queen Connie Ferguson who stars as Harriet Khoza in The Queen (Mondays - Thursdays at 21:00 on Mzansi Magic). She may be going through some things but she always shows us she reigns supreme.
 
Queens do come in all shapes and sizes and ages. This is the case for the four ninja’s on Isithunzi, Mondays at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (Also available on DStv Catch Up). Winnie (Thuso Mbedu) is like their leader but together they face all the hardships of abuse and drama. 
 
We can’t forget Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) who is the mother of dragons in GoT (Season 7 is Express from the US on Monday 17 July at 03:00 on M-Net, binge watch season 6). You have to have some serious strength and power to be able to raise dragons!
