Don’t miss the pick of the Premier League action as log leaders Manchester City host a rejuvenated Arsenal and Manchester United visit defending champions Chelsea live on Sunday 5 November.
Action on Match day 10 of the Premier League could probably best be compared to the popular ITV Choice (DStv Channel 123) game show ‘The Chaser’ as the chasing pack continue their quest to haul in rampant log-leaders Manchester City.
Tune in for the live Premier League action on Sunday 5 November from 16:00 on SS3 (DStv Channel 203 streaming live on DStv Now). Highlights on DStv Catch Up later.
Top of the log City host the unpredictable Arsenal outfit at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday (Kick-off 16:15). That match in itself is reason enough to put all other engagements on hold, but then there’s still an evening start at Stamford Bridge when Man United visit Chelsea (18:30 kick-off).
City have opened up a handy five point cushion at the top of the table over neighbours United and as much as they might want to, cannot afford to settle too comfortably on their perch at the summit.
Just last week rich praise came from West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis, who suggested that Pep Guardiola’s City side could well be the best team in Europe right now.
He may not be too far off the mark. City have not tasted defeat yet in all competitions and even when seen to be slightly off their game -- which is very rare - the Sky Blues just still seem to have enough in their armoury to win.
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side seem to have rebuilt some momentum since being tripped up at Watford a fortnight ago and head to the Etihad on the back of two successive victories.
Right now, however, Gunners fans are not quite sure what they are going to get from week to week. There appears to be no middle ground for the London club and they are either really good or exceptionally poor.
Dependent on which Arsenal side arrive on the day, City could be in for a tough afternoon.
Yes, it certainly wasn’t pretty, but United gained a confidence-boosting 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in their last league outing. That may just be the boost they needed to fire them up ahead of their trip to London.
Successive defeats against Man City and basement club Crystal Palace did Chelsea’s cause no good but a period of mature self-reflection by Antonio Conte’s charges has seen them chalk up two victories on the bounce.
Despite edging Spurs, the Red Devils will be acutely aware that the Lillywhites are still breathing heavily down their collars in third place just three points adrift and they can ill afford a stutter. Spurs host struggling Palace this week.
The chase is on.
