The reality behind the making of L.A.’s Hottest New All-Girl Pop Group.
Ever wondered what it takes to become a successful pop sensation? Fashion Television - the leading New York-based international fashion, entertainment and lifestyle network - presents its newest six-episode reality series, No Grey Skies.
Follow the drama while a group of ambitious music producers join forces with five aspiring singing and dancing starlets as they take on the challenge of creating the next big all-girl pop music group.
Making the Band meets the Spice Girls as girls come from all over the US when Zach Sorgen, a music management assistant, holds open auditions in Los Angeles. With a limited budget and only two weeks to bring everything together to produce a chart-topping song and music video, it won’t be long before pressure and egos get in the way of their vision. On top of it all, Zach’s career as a music executive depends on the success of this project.
Zach’s production team includes internationally acclaimed music producer and choreographer, GRAMMY nominee and Billboard Music Award winner David Nicoll, who is in charge of the group’s voice and dance training; and Hollywood’s multi-talented host, producer, writer and director, Blake Sterling, directs the No Grey Skies first ever music video.
The Los Angeles clear blue skies won’t smooth the way for the girls. Grey skies might be ahead, when they get a dose of tough love in a high intensity boot-camp, dished out by music industry veterans on top of long hours of tiring rehearsals. Getting sick is not an excuse to miss training, especially within the short time frame. Tensions rise as conflicting personalities and creative differences come into play not just between the girls themselves but also with their mentors. Will everyone be able to overcome all of these obstacles to produce a hit music video?
No Grey Skies: Making of the Hottest New Girl Group airs every Wednesday, premiering on 5 July at 20:00 CAT, only on Fashion Television.
