Watch Billions, Lucifer and all things racy on M-Net Edge.
M-Net Edge has some daring resolutions for the New Year: To make the transition from 2015 to 2016 as compelling, sexy and of course, edgy as possible.
Building on its cutting-edge reputation the channel will be adding two new Express From the US shows this January, series that will bring some familiar faces back to the small screen along with some alluring new characters.
Starting Express from the US on Tuesday, 19 January at 02:00, Billions stars Emmy and Golden Globe winners Damien Lewis, who stars as billionaire hedge fund king Bobby "Axe" Axelrod, and Paul Giamatti as powerful US Attorney Chuck Rhoades. Then, on the same day, viewers can indulge in the Prime Time broadcast at 21:00 on Tuesday 19 January. Fans (and fangirls) will recognise Lewis from the tension-filled Homeland, while Giamatti’s credits include Academy Award-winning films like Sideways and 12 Years a Slave.
Billions is set in the high-powered, competitive world that is New York’s financial scene, where, as expected, things are not as legit as they appear. Bobby "Axe" Axelrod (Lewis) dominates this business, but when US Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) gets a tip off about the billionaire, the two most powerful men in the city automatically begin an epic struggle for power. Personal and professional battles will be fought, but with so much at stake, one of these players may just lose everything they’ve worked so very hard for.
If that’s not hot enough, M-Net Edge is turning up the heat with Lucifer, also starting Express From the US on Wednesday 27 January at 02:00 and the Prime Time broadcast on the same day at 19:00 (Wednesday 27 January).
Welsh actor Tom Ellis stars as the original Lord of Hell, except that this Lucifer isn’t living in hell and is instead pursuing wine, woman and song in Los Angeles. But all of that debauchery comes to a screeching halt when a pop star close to him is murdered and he crosses paths with homicide detective Chloe Dancer. Sexy, charming and utterly compelling, Lucifer presents a side of the devil never seen before: one that may actually care about humans.
