Johann Botha was a versatile Afrikaans TV and radio presenter, as well as producer of various documentaries. He was well known for being involved in the nature conservation program, 50/50, as well as presenter of kykNET’s nature program, Projek Aardwolf. He is still regarded as one of the best Afrikaans radio presenters of his generation and was also by occasion a rugby and cricket commentator. In 2015 he and a friend were tragically killed at the Zebra Inn in Jeppestown.

Only a few weeks ago, Pippa and Liebenberg tied the knot. Viewers were anxious to see if something would happen to prevent the wedding happening, but all worked out according to plan. Now, after all the celebrations, it is time for a bit of sadness, as the couple bid their friends farewell to start a new life together. Nadia Valvekens, who has played the role of Pippa from the start of Binnelanders more than a decade ago, is leaving the show to broaden her horizons. Tune in for the final episode with one of Binnelanders’ most beloved actresses.
