Pearl Thusi and Lerato Kganyago to represent South Africa across 49 African countries.
EbonyLife TV’s CEO, Mo Abudu gets conversations going across Africa by taking Moments with Mo, Africa’s first syndicated talk show, and growing the show across Africa
by creating a spin-off brand, talkshow Moments.
The show will be launched in four flagship countries namely South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
A highlight of Moments is that each focal country will have its own homegrown co-hosts and from South Africa, Pearl Thusi and Lerato Kganyago will be calling the shots.
Speaking on this development, Mo Abudu said, “As EbonyLife TV clocks 2 on July 1st and as Moments with Mo enters its 9th year, we are excited to see the Moments with Mo brand expand across the continent of Africa in what we have called Moments.”
Moments will closely mirror Moments with Mo in structure and style.
Each country will have it’s own set and will feature an array of local guests and celebrities sharing inspiring stories from its country, demonstrating its own uniqueness through its peculiar local nuances and distinctive cultural identity, making the show truly authentic to the country in question.
The excitement in the opening episode of #MomentsSA was clearly infectious. “It feels like a dream…and we are part of it (a winning formulae)” exulted Lerato Kganyago.
Commenting on the other Pan African co-hosts, Pearl Thusi stated: “They all seemso beautiful and amazing and it’s great because it’s not competition, we don’t have to be comparing ourselves to them, we are in good company.”
