Suits actress Meghan Markle is reportedly quitting her role in the legal drama, as rumours of a royal engagement continue to swirl.

Is it possible that we’re hearing royal wedding bells in the not-so-distant-future?

If the latest rumour mill is to be believed, Meghan Markle is quitting her role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits (available to watch on Showmax**), as she prepares to say I Do, to Prince Henry of Wales (yes, Prince Harry!)

The couple who’ve been dating since mid-2016, have been very protective of their relationship, with Meghan only making one public comment about their relationship, in the October issue of Vanity Fair, where she said: "we're a couple inlove".

And in the same month, they made their first public appearance, when she joined the Prince at the Invictus Games in Canada (Harry even visited Meghan on the set of Suits which is filmed in Canada, which you can watch on Showmax**). And the paparazzi succeeded in getting a few candid pictures of the Prince, in conversation with Meghan’s mom, Doria Radlan at the games.

Since Meghan’s relationship with the hot royal came to light, she’s quietly stepped out of the social media spotlight. She’s no longer posting on her Instagram account, and even closed down her lifestyle website, The Tig.

And if the news of her saying goodbye to Rachel Zane is true, we can only ask: when can we expect to receive our invitation, to what will surely be the most anticipated wedding of the year?

We know Harry’s grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in November. And Harry’s brother Prince William, just announced that he and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, will welcome their third child in April next year.

We’re sure Harry wouldn’t want his engagement or nuptials to overshadow these celebrations, so we’re putting our money on a royal engagement announcement just before Christmas, and a wedding in July next year. There’s nothing quite as beautiful as a summer wedding in London.

While we wait for our invitation and the announcement, you can sign up to Showmax and enjoy Meghan Markle in Suits, which will probably be one of her last acting roles, before she becomes a Duchess and a member of The Firm (a nickname for the British royal family).
