It’s the honeymoon in Mauritius, however it’s not all rosy with tensions between Patric and Khensani.
The couples on local reality series Married At First Sight South Africa, on Lifetime (DStv 131), were whisked away on a romantic island honeymoon to Mauritius. From a romantic breakfast on the beach to a competitive game of archery the newlyweds quickly got to know what they did and didn’t enjoy about their new partners, with viewers getting to catch all the honeymoon drama.
Watch: Married At First Sight Fridays at 20:50 on Lifetime. Also available on DStv Now.
With one bride having done a runner in this second ‘super-sized’ season, only two of the three paired couples actually tied the knot and jetted off on honeymoon to Mauritius, sponsored by Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and World Leisure Holidays. Patric and Khensani went to Long Beach Resort and Spa, while Hennie and Clarissa stayed at Shangri-La's Le Touessrok.
Hennie and Clarissa’s romance blossomed in paradise and they quickly found common ground and chemistry between them. Clarissa says, “My highlight of Mauritius was getting to spend every moment of it with Hennie. I think when you go to places on holiday you are overcome with the beauty and culture, but getting to experience all of that with someone that special, makes you remember it so much more fondly.”
Meanwhile, it didn’t take long for tensions to emerge between Patric and Khensani. Khensani’s competitive nature became evident and Patric was left feeling undermined. But they both still enjoyed aspects of the honeymoon. Khensani says a highlight for her was their day trip to Ambre Resort and Spa, “The beach is pristine, we had really great food and in addition to the water activities we ended the day with a massage and some jacuzzi time. It was pretty much a perfect day on a beautiful island!”
One lucky Married At First Sight SA viewer will win an all inclusive five night trip for two with World Leisure Holidays and Ambre Resorts and Spa. All you need to do to enter is watch the show and visit Lifetime Africa on Facebook and answer the questions correctly.
Tune in Fridays at 20:50 on Lifetime to see if the couples find their happily ever after. Married At First Sight South Africa is sponsored by Telkom in association with 1Life.
