The DStv #LocalMix Mixology Competition is underway and entries are coming in fast. To make things even more interesting, DStv has added a bonus cash prize of R10 000 to the ultimate prize of a Mixology course. Weekends in June and July will see various events taking place at Cappello bars across the country, where entertainment and instant prize giveaways will form part of the exciting campaign.
The five celebrity ambassadors of this campaign will show face at selected Cappello bars in different regions, so patrons will have an opportunity to rub shoulders with Big Brother Mzansi 2015’s favourite couple Ace and Ntombi, Mandla and Lexi from the Mzansi Magic reality show; and Ayeye actor, Mpho Popps, who also created their very own local show inspired cocktails. And to top it all, they will be part of the judging panel selecting the ultimate winner! Check out their videos on www.dstv.com/homegrown for inspiration.
Popular Mzansi DJ Dimplez will travel extensively across the country to entertain patrons so be sure to catch him at Cappello Fourways on Friday, 12 June and Cappello Hatfield on Saturday, 13 June. He will then travel to Bloemfontein on Saturday, 20 June; Nelspruit on Friday, 26 June; Durban on Friday 3 July; Kuruman on Friday, 17 July and return to Jozi for the grand finale at Cappello Ghandi Square on Saturday, 8 August 2015.

Amateur mixologists are invited to create unique cocktails inspired by local DStv shows, and then film themselves making them. Entry is easy and open to anyone over the age of 18. Post your video to YouTube and email the link to localmix@DStv.com; post a picture and description of your cocktail on the DStv Facebook page or Tweet it using #localmix and tagging @DStv.
The competition closes at 12:00 on Friday, 31 July 2015. Winners will be announced on Facebook and receive their prizes at a glittering event at Cappello, Ghandi Square on Saturday, 08 August 2015.
