Lifetime (DStv Channel 131) is getting a refresh.
2018 brings with it a brand new look and exhilarating new content for Lifetime, the popular entertainment channel.

The channel’s exciting refresh kicks off on Tuesday 6 February. The new shows, many of them reality, add to the channel’s already fascinating line-up.
From executive producers, Golden Globe winner and Grammy nominee Queen Latifah and Grammy winner Jermaine Dupri, the fourth season of The Rap Game will start on Wednesday 07 February at 20:50.
Jermaine, the driving force behind some of the biggest names in the music business from Mariah Carey to Usher and Bow Wow, mentors emerging young hip-hop artists in this series. Five young rappers from all walks of life bust beats for the ultimate prize of a recording contract with Dupri's label ‘So So Def Recording’.
The latest in the Little Women franchise, an audience favourite, also hits screens in February. Little Women Atlanta season 4 airs every Wednesday at 20:00, starting on 14 February. The franchise has proven a hit for Lifetime Africa, which is why the channel is excited to share Terra’s Big House. This series, starting Thursday 22 February at 20:00, follows Terra and Joe from Little Women: LA as they embark on a new journey as parents. Viewers will identify with the couple as they navigate everyday parenting challenges with the added entertainment value of Terra’s unique take on life.
Question of Love is a brand new show which follows three couples as they ask each other some of the toughest truths. As we see them grapple with issues of trust and commitment, they ask each other questions most of us would like the answers to, to make our own relationships stronger. After 30 days of living together and the help of a relationship expert you’ll be rooting for love to last in Question of Love every Friday at 20:00, starting 23 February.
If you’ve ever wondered about the powerhouse behind fashion’s “IT” girls Gigi and Bella and their model brother Anwar, their mom Yolanda Hadid shares her secrets and sees if she can replicate that success for six aspiring models. In Making a Model with Yolanda Hadid the former model and television personality will draw on her team of experts and guide these young women and their mom-agers through an intensive eight-week training program. Watch every Thursday at 20:50, starting 1 March, as they each try to build their brand in the cut throat world of modeling.
The next installment of the US version of Married at First Sight also promises to make for gripping viewing this March, starting Friday 30 March at 20:50. In season 6 of the daring social experiment, Boston area singles are paired up, meeting for the first time at the altar. We follow the journey of the three new couples from their unusual wedding day, to setting up a life together as husband and wife. This season, psychologist and Professor Dr. Jessica Griffin, joins sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz and marriage counselor Pastor Calvin Roberson on the series’ panel of experts. After jointly pairing up the three couples, based on scientific matchmaking, they will counsel and mentor the couples throughout their relationships.
From reality series to real life drama portrayed in Lifetime Original Movies; be sure not to miss the movie, Cocaine Godmother on Saturday 31 March at 20:00. Academy Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones stars in the true story of Griselda Blanco Restrepo, the most infamous woman in the drug world. It follows Griselda from the age of 17, when she made her way to the U.S. with a fake passport through to her ruthlessly running the cocaine trade in America until she was deported back to Colombia in 2012.
The entertainment on Lifetime doesn’t stop there. In the coming months viewers can expect amongst others; the second and third seasons of the critically acclaimed series UnREAL (the second season starts Monday 12 March at 20:00). Then Lifetime’s new beauty competition Glam Masters will have the beauty buffs riveted in June. The series is hosted by Emmy Award nominee Laverne Cox and is executive produced by style icon Kim Kardashian West who says, “I’m fascinated by how artists are able to transform someone’s look with makeup and couldn’t be more ecstatic for them to show what they can really do.”
